Sofia’s story is about more than professional success—it’s about overcoming personal health struggles and finding purpose in helping others. She grew up in Romania under a communist regime, where basic rights were often denied. After moving to the U.S., Sofia faced a health crisis of her own that, much like Oren’s experience with the COVID-19 vaccine, led her to question the American healthcare system. Her recovery was a long and painful journey, but it fueled her desire to help others navigate the complexities of healthcare. Today, Sofia runs a nonprofit organization that assists immigrants in accessing medical care and understanding their rights within the healthcare system.
